The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department, through SCERT AP, has officially released the FA-1 (Formative Assessment-I / Self-Assessment Model Paper-I) Time Table for the Academic Year 2026-27. The proceedings include the official examination schedule, subject-wise syllabus, question paper pattern, assessment guidelines, and instructions for conducting FA-1 examinations across all government, aided, and private schools in Andhra Pradesh.

The FA-1 examinations are designed to evaluate students' conceptual understanding, competency-based learning, and academic progress during the first phase of the academic year. The examinations will be conducted for students from Classes I to X according to the official timetable issued by the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh.

AP SCERT FA-1 Exam Dates 2026

The FA-1 examinations will commence on 17 August 2026 and continue until 20 August 2026. Separate examination sessions have been scheduled for Primary, Upper Primary, and High School students. The official proceedings also specify morning and afternoon sessions along with subject-wise scheduling for different classes.

Official FA-1 Syllabus 2026-27

SCERT AP has enclosed the complete Annexure-I Syllabus for Classes I to X. The syllabus includes all prescribed lessons from June and July for every subject, including Telugu, English, Mathematics, Environmental Science, General Science, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, and other language subjects. Schools are instructed to prepare question papers strictly according to the officially prescribed syllabus.

FA-1 Question Paper Pattern

• Classes I-II: 35 Marks

• Classes III-V: 35 Marks

• Classes VI-IX: 35 Marks

• Class X: Subject-wise competency-based pattern

The papers include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Very Short Answer Questions, Short Answer Questions, Long Answer Questions, and Essay Questions depending on the class level. The examination pattern follows competency-based assessment guidelines issued by SCERT AP.

Assessment Pattern

The proceedings clearly mention that student evaluation consists of both Formative Assessments and Summative Assessments. Formative Assessments are conducted four times during the academic year, while Summative Assessments are conducted twice. Internal assessment includes participation, written work, project work, and written examinations. The revised assessment structure has been prepared in accordance with NEP 2020 and competency-based assessment guidelines.

Guidelines for Schools

The Director of School Education has instructed all Regional Joint Directors, District Educational Officers, Mandal Education Officers, School Complex Headmasters, and Cluster Resource Persons to ensure secure handling of question papers and smooth conduct of examinations. Question papers must be preserved safely and supplied to schools shortly before the examination begins. Any irregularities during the conduct of examinations must be reported immediately to higher authorities.
