FA-1 Syllabus 2025-26 for Classes I to V – A Foundation for Early Learning

The Formative Assessment–1 (FA-1) for Classes I to V in Andhra Pradesh schools lays a strong academic foundation for young learners. The syllabus spans June and July and aligns with the SCERT's structured learning goals, integrating readiness programs and subject-wise enrichment.

🔹 Language Focus:

  • Telugu: Introduction to sounds, songs, letter games, and picture-based learning.

  • English: Simple stories like Tenali Rama and the Thieves, Three Butterflies, and Mallika Goes to School.

  • Other Languages: Sanskrit, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil, and Odia syllabi include alphabet familiarity, poems, and cultural themes.

🔹 Mathematics:

  • Class I: Pre-math concepts like big-small, near-far, and shapes.

  • Classes II–V: Number concepts, operations, place value, and early geometry.

🔹 Environmental Studies (EVS):

  • Topics include Happy Family, Plants and Animals, Climate Change, and Migration to build awareness of the natural and social environment.

The FA-1 syllabus for Classes VI to X, issued by SCERT AP, is designed to support students' transition from foundational to advanced academic stages. It covers key learning areas during June and July with a focus on understanding, application, and assessment readiness.

🔹 Languages:

  • Telugu, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Kannada, Tamil, and Odia are offered with content ranging from traditional poems and moral stories to modern essays and grammar. Notable topics include:

    • The Road Not Taken (Class IX)

    • A Letter to God (Class X)

    • Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk to Freedom (Class X)

    • Poems like Dust of Snow, Wind, and Eidgah

🔹 Mathematics:

  • From basic fractions and integers (Class VI) to quadratic equations, APs, and linear equations (Class X), the curriculum gradually builds problem-solving skills.

🔹 Science:

  • Key topics include:

    • Nutrition, Motion, Light, Chemical Reactions, and Life Processes
