Important Update for AP Pensioners & Family Pensioners:

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued G.O.Ms.No.121, Finance (HR.III-Pension & GPF) Department, dated 11-09-2026, sanctioning enhancement of Dearness Relief (DR) by 2.73%. The Dearness Relief has been revised from 37.31% to 40.04% of Basic Pension with effect from 01-07-2024.

The revised Dearness Relief of 40.04% is sanctioned with effect from 01-07-2024. This represents an enhancement of 2.73% over the existing DR rate of 37.31%.

The orders are applicable to eligible Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners covered under the applicable pension rules.

For pensioners who retired after 01-07-2018 and are drawing pension under the Revised Pay Scales, 2022, the DR has been revised from 37.31% to 40.04% of Basic Pension.

Pensioners who retired prior to 01-07-2018 and whose pension was consolidated under the relevant Government orders are also covered as specified in the G.O.

 When Will the Revised DR Be Paid?

Important Payment Update:

The Dearness Relief sanctioned under this Government Order shall be paid in cash along with the pension of September 2026, payable in October 2026.

 DR Arrears – 26 Months

The enhancement is effective from 01-07-2024. The arrears on account of the increase in Dearness Relief cover the period from 01-07-2024 to 31-08-2026, totaling 26 months.
