Important Update for AP Government Employees:
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued G.O.Ms.No.119, Finance (HR.VI-PC&TA) Department, dated 11-09-2026, sanctioning a 2.73% enhancement in Dearness Allowance (DA) for eligible employees drawing pay under the Revised Pay Scales, 2022.

 DA Effective Date

The revised DA of 40.04% is sanctioned with effect from 01-07-2024. The enhancement is from the existing DA rate of 37.31% to 40.04%.

 When Will the Revised DA Be Paid?

Important: The DA sanctioned under this order shall be paid in cash along with the September 2026 salary payable in October 2026.

 DA Arrears – 26 Months

The Government Order provides for payment of DA arrears for the period from 01-07-2024 to 31-08-2026, covering a total period of 26 months.

OPS Employees – Arrears Payment

For OPS employees, the specified arrears will be credited to the General Provident Fund (GPF) account according to the payment schedule mentioned in the Government Order.

 CPS Employees – Arrears Payment

For eligible CPS employees, including PTD employees who have opted for CPS and are governed by CPS, the first 10% of arrears will be credited to the individual's PRAN account along with the Government share, as specified in the order.

The remaining 90% of arrears will be paid in cash in three equal instalments during June 2027, August 2027 and October 2027.

 EPS-95 Employees

For EPS-95 employees, the DA arrears will be calculated and paid according to the rules applicable under EPS-95.

 Special Provision for Retiring Employees

Employees who have retired or are due to retire between 01-07-2024 and 30-04-2027, inclusive of the dates, are covered by a special provision under the order. Their DA arrears shall be drawn and paid in cash subject to the conditions mentioned in the Government Order.

 DA Arrears in Case of Death of Employee

In the event of the death of an employee before the issue of these orders, the employee's legal heir(s) shall be entitled to the DA arrears, subject to applicable rules.
